My Craft Room
Here's a picture of my craft room.
One day I hope to be able to move everything out, spend 100's of dollars on storage and actually get it organized.
My main problem is I don't want to have to get up to get something once I sit so everything needs to be within reach (makes for a very crowded desk!!.
I keep all of my stamp pads in an old wooden cassette tape holder. My husband fixed it to the wall so I wouldn't have to worry about it falling over.
Here's a picture of a cabinet that my dad made for me. Originally is was designed to hold loose stamps so the smaller drawers on top hold one row of wood mounted stamps or 81/2 X x paper. It's about 5 feet tall! I love it!!

Family Foto
I had this idea for a great family "foto" Christmas card. The kids are on either end, hubby and I in the middle, even have the cat and dog.
I made the cut file myself with Paint.Net and Sure Cuts A Lot.
I would have been a great idea except cutting out all the hats and scarves took a long time because they are so small and hard to work with.
I also wish I had left off the 3d snow.

Stamped Cookies
I'm reposting this because I saw in the Stampin Up catalog that you can now purchase cookie stamps. They are so behind the times!!
You see.....this is why I love stamping so much!!
I was making cookies to take camping and after I had them cut out and laid out nicely on the cookie sheet I thought....why not.
So I went down to the craft room and picked out some stamps I thought would look great on cookies....washed them very well and stamped the cookies before baking.
I used this recipe, which is great for this type of cookie as it doesn't spread while cooking.

Inspiration!
The cover of this Better Homes and Gardens magazine was my inspiration for my next card. I loved the colors and the cute whimsical look of the snowman and bird.
I used my Joys of the Season cartridge for the snowman and "peace"; and my Cherry Limeaid cartridge for the bird.
I had to cut the arm off the snowman so I could glue it in the place I wanted. I also had to cut the snowman at 8 1/2 inches in order to get him big enough to look right. The bird and phrase were both cut at 1 inch.

Another Christmas Card
So, my husband said my last cards weren't very colorful so I made this one!!
I love it. It's bright and cheery. I'll probably make a few more using different color combinations but I think this will probably be our card for this year.
It's called a center step card and you can find the instructions to make it here.
It was a little time consuming cutting all the strips of paper but I could see where it would be a very quick assembly-line type card once everything was cut, stamped, and colored.
It really makes a cute card!!
