Blueberry Scrapbook

I just received by Storybook cartridge for my Cricut. I had to play!!

This layout was made with Storybook and Christmas Cheer. I used the Christmas cartridge to get the doo-dads on the blueberries.

After I took the picture I had to touch it up a bit on the computer, I cut and pasted some blueberries over the white mark left behind by the flash.

I also erased my journaling and typed in what I had written.

Before cutting, I layed everything out on Design Studio so I would only have to cut once. It worked out great!

Christmas Card - Cricut

Here's a card I made with my Cricut - No stamping necessary!!

The penguin came from the Christmas Cheer cartridge. The water is just torn paper.

This was a simple card, a little time consuming to put the penguin together but with the Design Studio is was easy to lay out the pieces and cut what I wanted. I also cut two penguins - just in case!!

Christmas Card

Here's my first Christmas card of the season. I usually make a dozen or so before I find the one I like. Thanks to my new cricut, this card was very simple!!

I used the Christmas Cheer cartridge.

The paper and ribbon came from Stampin Up!

Zucchini Cookies

With my over-productive Zucchini plant I needed to come up with something other than zucchini bread. I especially wanted something that I could pack in the kids lunches now that school will be starting back up. Here's what I came up with. These are moist and cake-like, I think they'd be great with cream cheese frosting.

Zucchini Cookies

1 cup sugar, 2 cups grated zucchini, 1/2 cup shortening, 2 cups flour, 1 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 tsp salt, 1/2 cup raisins (or however many you want).

Mix all ingredients and bake in a 375 oven. If you use a Tablespoon to make the cookies bake for 12-14 minutes, if you use something smaller bake for 8-10 minutes.

Kid Wash

Here's what my kids did last weekend!! We saw this on Instructables. It's called a Kid Wash 2. It's just a mister to walk, run, ride your bike through on hot days. My son is 14, my daughter is 11 and they spent about three hours total on this with minimal help from dad.

I think we spent about 15.00 in parts at the most. It works great and everyone loves it!!

It's a little hard to see the water coming out but you can sure see the rainbow. The link above will take you right to the instructions.

Cricut Card

Here's my latest card from my Cricut macine. I used the Home Accents cartridge and Design Studio (I didn't really need this but since I have it I feel the need to use it as much as possible!!).

I just cut three small butterflies and then I used the silhouette portion to use as a stencil and used white craft ink to make a white silhouette and then glued the butterflies over the top.

Then I mounted the green card onto a pink back, added a pink ribbon and was done!!!

Licorice

Here's the newest member of our family. She's about 12 weeks old. Her name is Licorice, she goes with our dog Snickers and our bunny Marshmallow (we really like candy around here!).

She was found with about 10 other kittens in a building that was being demolished. We had taken our dog in for her shots and they had a cage with just two kittens left.

It took a lot of reasoning with my husband but he finally agreed that we could have one.

She's only been here about 24 hours but she fitting right in. We just need her and the dog to get a long.
