Cricut Card

Here's my latest card from my Cricut macine. I used the Home Accents cartridge and Design Studio (I didn't really need this but since I have it I feel the need to use it as much as possible!!).

I just cut three small butterflies and then I used the silhouette portion to use as a stencil and used white craft ink to make a white silhouette and then glued the butterflies over the top.

Then I mounted the green card onto a pink back, added a pink ribbon and was done!!!

Licorice

Here's the newest member of our family. She's about 12 weeks old. Her name is Licorice, she goes with our dog Snickers and our bunny Marshmallow (we really like candy around here!).

She was found with about 10 other kittens in a building that was being demolished. We had taken our dog in for her shots and they had a cage with just two kittens left.

It took a lot of reasoning with my husband but he finally agreed that we could have one.

She's only been here about 24 hours but she fitting right in. We just need her and the dog to get a long.

Honor Star

Here's my latest. I really have done more scrapbooking since my last post but I'm not very good about posting them.

At the beginning of June our Missionettes program at church held their annual awards ceremony. My daughter earned her Honor Star as well as the Bronze Medal of Honor.

I love the way this picture turned out, she looks a little too grown up for her own good though!!

I made all the letter with my new cricut machine which I just love!!

Digital Scrapbooking

Here is my latest scrapbooking page. All done on the computer. The background paper was a free download from Free Digital Scrapbooking. Be sure to check them out. I don't really have a good scrapbooking software package so I just did this in publisher.

I'll add some embellishments (flowers, tags and such) to make it more 3d and to add something to the bottom.

Mother's Day Card

I made this card for my mom-in-law for Mother's Day. The flowers I stamped in brown instead of black and I used water color pencils. I sponged the edges in the same brown as the image was stamped in then mounted on the burgandy cs and then onto the card.

I love the icicle brads that everyone has come out with. The one here is from Stampin' Up!.

Mother's Day Gift

Here's a booklet I made for my mom for Mother's Day. I started out with a picture she gave me (I scanned it so I wouldn't lose the original) of her and I the day I was born, then I added some pictures of me growing up and ended with a picture of my daughter and me the day my daughter was born.

It's short but sweet. I still don't like the way it closes but I haven't been able to come up with any better ideas....how about you?

Easter Baskets

These are the Easter baskets my kids are getting this year.

I love these clear paint cans. This is the gallon sized and you can order them at Paper Wishes.

It was a bit hard to get the paper inside because the paper can actually go up under the metal lip (you can see that I didn't quite get mine up there!). The paper on the inside needs to be about 6 1/2 inches wide for a really tight fit. I cut mine at 6 inches for this one and then added a scallop border.

You also want to make sure that you make your "label" completely before you put it in. I put this one in and then had to take it out again so I ended up tearing the paper in a couple of spots.

My son's basket I used lots of chocolate bunny stickers because, being 14, he's not much into flowers and cute little animals!!

My daughter got the frilly flowers and lots of ribbon basket.

Both of these were very easy, I didn't do any stamping so they went together very quickly. I still have to decorate the lid, although I may leave it blank. I haven't made up my mind yet.
