Fancy Top Box

Here's a box I made for one of my sons friends birthday. I used the template at a little larger than full size and it took 2 12X12 pages to make it.

You can download the pdf template here. All the instructions are on the pdf itself but you can always email me if you have any questions.

Valentine's Day Goodie Bags

I made these little goodie bags for the women in my Mom's In Touch group for Valentine's Day.

I used the Time Well Spent and Love Matters sets from Stampin' Up and scraps of red, white, and designer paper. I also used stampers floss for the string.

The vellum "coffee" bags came from Papertreyink.

I used a Stazon red pad to stamp hearts on the bags then stamped hearts from the Time Well Spent on scrap paper and cut them out.
I fill them with Valentine's candy. I love the way you can see through the bag and yet it's still frosty looking!

Scanned Image

I was so clever yesterday!! This stamp from the Love Matters set from Stampin Up!. The stamp itself is actually quite small, not quite what I wanted for Valentines Day.

I stamped the image onto a piece of white paper and then scanned it at a high resolution. Then I just printed the image onto a card-sized piece of whisper white cardstock and....voila!

This was so easy...I can't wait to find more little stamps to enlarge!

Infinite Goodness

After spending the last year or so adding more and more embellishments onto my cards and projects, I've decided to get back to basics!!

This card was very simple. Cardstock colors are (all Stampin' Up!), Confetti White, Pretty in Pink and Always Artichoke. Ink colors are Always Artichoke and Chocolate Chip. I also used Always Artichoke eyelets, stampin dimensionals, and a white pen. I used Stampin' Up's! new Infinite Goodness stamp set.

I stamped the berries on the Artichoke cs using Artichoke ink. I then highlighted each berries with white ink.

After stamping the phrase in Artichoke on Confetti White, I sponged the edges in Chocolate Chip and then ran the edges through the Artichoke ink pad.

I then attached eyelets to the phrase piece and attached that to the stamped piece with stampin' dimensionals.

Next I attached the Always Artichoke cs to a piece of Pretty in Pink and attached that to the Confetti White card.

I really like to clean look this card has. You can click on the picture to see a larger image.

Valentines Gift Box

I found this box template and fell in love with it. The possiblities are endless as this is a pretty good size box. Perfect for hostess and teacher gifts.

This was the first time that I've used a lot of ribbon on anything. I'm a ribbon hoarder so this was a real stretch for me.

There are 9 different heart tags attached as well as some hearts just glued on.

I've had these little pink heart shaped eyelets for years and thought this would be a good time to use them.

I used my Stampin Up! So Swirly wheel and Love Matters stamp set.

The votive candle is actually sitting on top of three tea lights which kind of gives you an idea of the size.

It measures 6 1/4 (15.5 cm) from top to bottom, 4 1/2 (11.5 cm) across and 2 1/4 (5.5 cm) deep.

You can download the template here. Be sure to get the directions to go along with that which is a seperate download.

Have fun with this one!!

First Year Milestones

After I started scrapbooking I needed to come up with some way of scrapping my sons first year without a ton of pages (this was for his scrapbook).

I came up with this idea. Only the trees and mountains are stamped. Everything else (except the road) are stickers.

I cut a winding road out of black cardstock and drew a white dividing line down the middle. Next I figured out which milestones I wanted to place on the page and figured out the placement for them.

I placed a car next to each milestone and then placed construction stickers around to show a work in progress.

This remains one of my favorite pages to this day! You can click on the image to get a larger view.

End of Summer Fun

This is a page I did after we spent a day at a friends property. Lots of woods and a great pond for the kids to play in!

The boys were able to work at stripping the bark off some logs, Shelby got to catch her newts, and dad got to take a nap. What a great day!

When I first put the page together I was trying to figure out how to blow up the picture of the newt but still get Shelby, her friend, and the pond in the picture. I love this idea I came up with to show the whole scene and still have the close up. Digital cameras are great!

This chipboard flower is from Stampin' Up! I covered the flower with designer paper and after the glue dried, I sanded the edges. Then I put a brad through a couple of silk flower and glued those onto the chipboard flower.

I still need to add a title somewhere but I'm not sure what I want it to be yet.

Card Envelopes

If I don't have to mail a card I like to jazz up the envelope a bit. Here is the envelope I made for my sons birthday card.

I used the Stampin' Up! 5 in 1 envelope template and some blue paisley paper.

After cutting out the envelope and gluing the flaps, I sponged all of the edges, front and back, in brown ink.

I saved the cardboard outlines from my on-board simon alphabet and traced a "j" from a contrasting scrap of paper. I used pop dots to attached that to the envelope.

I punched three different tags, making sure none were too "girl-y" and tied gold cord to each one.

I wrapped brown grosgrain ribbon around the envelope and attached the tags to the ribbon as well as gluing them down.

This really took almost no time at all. It would make a great stamp camp item with a matching card to go inside!

Here is a close up of the details. Just click on the picture to get a larger view.

Altered Clipboard

I found these great clipboards at my local craft store right before Christmas. I thought they would make great gifts but decided to keep this one for myself!!

I used Stampin' Up! Designer Series paper to cover it. I covered the clipboard with SU's Anywhere glue stick, stuck the paper on and sanded the edges.

I stamped the phrase at the bottom and then made a tag and stamped the same phrase onto the bottom of it and lined it up with the clipboard phrase and glued it on.

The flowers are from "Got Flowers?". The pen is an RSVP pen with the same paper as I used on the clipboard.

I stamped phrases on every other page on the tablet but for gifts I used a better tablet.

Here is a close up of the bottom to give you a better idea of how I stamped the phrases!

This was a pretty quick project. I think my friend and I spent more time figuring out colors than it took to actually make it.
